To quote UMTV Host Wonderbread,"....it's sweeping across all of Central New York..." What
are we talking about??? The Spotlight of course! That's the name for Wayne's little move that he does
during the 1st UMTV Promo (Click HERE to see it).
The move was actually given it's name
by Monster Mike Merrifield (Dogs on Mars) who has stated,"Whenever I see that,it looks like he's holding
2 spotlights in his hands and the light is shinning on his face!"
When asked about this,Wayne
said,"Well,I was getting all dressed up in Rich's bathroom just before the shoot and I thought I had
to do something besides just stand still and speak.I mean-how boring! So,I remembered a pose Paul Stanley
had done (see pic below) and tried it 2-3 times in front of a mirror and then went out and shot the clip.Just
something I came up with at the spur of the moment.I didn't think it would be such a focal point.Now,when
I go to clubs,stores,even where I work,people flash me "Da Spotlight." Mikey even came up with an advanced
version of it called the "Sux & Pux."which is great."
And,as you can see by the photos
below,more and more people are being "caught in da spotlight." If you have a picture of anyone doing
this move,send it in and we'll post it here.Hopefully we'll get some shots of Mikey doing the "Sux &
Pux" as well.....
